What do I need for payments using the Square POS App?
Get set up before it's time to take payments from your customers. You need:
An active Square Payments merchant account.
Your Square account is connected to Detail Bookie.
The Square POS App installed on your phone or tablet, logged in with the same Square account you paired with Detail Bookie.
A square reader paired with your phone or tablet.
Take a payment step by step
Open a job ticket in your back office.
Choose Payment: Square App in the job menu.
Select a payment amount and tap the Start Transaction button.
Confirm to Open Square when prompted.
Complete the payment transaction in the Square POS App.
Choose receipt options when prompted.
Wait for Square to automatically return to Detail Bookie in your web browser, or close the confirmation page to return immediately.
Wait for the Detail Bookie confirmation page to appear before putting down the phone or tablet. If you don't see the confirmation screen, the payment has not been recorded on the work order in Detail Bookie.
⚠️ If you don't see the Detail Bookie confirmation page after processing a payment, the transaction may not be recorded on the job ticket!
